Chezile Puts Listeners In a Trance with “Beanie”

Chezile released one song and he’s already blowing up. With an ethereal sound that doesn’t sound like anything else out right now, the success of Chezile is inevitable. “Beanie” has already been streamed 1.4 million times on Spotify alone since it’s release in November, with most of that streaming happening within the last week. Appearing on Spotify heavy-hitting editorial playlists like lorem, Fresh Finds and borderless, he’s already gotten a cosign from the Spotify editors and curators.

With songwriting that discusses the complexities of an intimate relationship, Chezile wrote a song that will connect with millions of people. Singing, “oh, I try to break apart, oh / you don’t wanna try no more, oh, no more / why, why (oh) do you live in my mind, mind,” you can immediately understand the beauty of his words — especially as he rides the beat in an effortless manner.

With an EP on the horizon, expect Chezile to continue his upward trajectory. If the rest of the EP sounds anything like “Beanie,” there is no doubt in my mind he’ll rise to being one of the biggest artists in the United States. Check out the track from the links below:
