DevRAB shares vivid new EP ‘MISFiT’
Queens, New York artist DevRAB has shared a new EP called ‘MISFiT.’ Across 4 songs, he showcases his versatility and sharp songwriting atop surreal, powerful instrumentation. With a deft ability to switch between smooth, infectious melodies and raw rap verses with ease, the musician flexes his creative muscles on ‘MISFiT’- which, like the title, refuses to be boxed in to simply one categorization or style.
Across the EP, DevRAB hits us with a variety of colourful sounds that build into psychedelic, hard-hitting soundscapes. Songs like opener “MISFiT” and “Private Shit” conjure powerful, expansive sonics and utilize catchy, sharply-written vocals to draw the listener in to their layered atmospheres. “Up Now” provides a crescendo of emotion as well with its airy, textured sound that feels inspiring and uplifting. The guest features are well-selected as well, with BIGBABYGUCCI and Kevin Powers delivering poignant performances alongside DevRAB.
