“eastside” Is a Song You Need In Your Rotation Right Now
If you need a new song to obsess over, look no further than Andrey Azizov and zachy’s new song “eastside.” With crisp production, melodic vocals and a chorus that will be stuck in your head, the new track has every element that makes an indie-pop tune great.
Opening the song with lyrics that detail a sense of inner turmoil, unexpressed thoughts, and a self-destructive inclination, “empty thoughts just fill my space / if only you could read the words that i don’t say /expressions absent on my face / i’ve got a habit of tryna get in my own way,” the introspective songwriting zachy utilizes is immediately apparent. From there, the song develops into a tale of nostalgia, regret, and the desire for some time alone to heal and move forward – emotions and feelings that any listener can relate to.
Andrey Azizov, a multi-talented producer is responsible for all the production on “eastside.” It’s his first drop since his EP Supergraphic Ultramodern which featured well-known artists like Felly, BabyJake and Hans Williams. For zachy, a 20-year-old artist from Richmond, Virginia, this new track is his first since his October drop of the highly-anticipated “there they go.”
Up next, the duo is dropping another collab track that you need to be on the lookout for. If you haven’t streamed the song yet, get on it from the link below:
