Oliver Anthony Music Comes Out of the Gates Roaring

We’ve all seen it before. An artist has a viral moment on TikTok and absolutely blows up. But what we haven’t seen? A country artist have that type of jaw-dropping viral moment. If you’re reading this, you’ve likely heard the undeniably catchy song “Rich Men North of Richmond” by Oliver Anthony Music. To say it simply: the songwriting is superb, his vocals are superb, and his twangy guitar playing is superb.

With over 22 millions streams in just over two weeks, this song has clearly struck a note with a population of people — country music lovers or haters. While picking up tens of millions of streams across platforms (over 39 million on YouTube), Oliver has received some drawback — from what are likely Government agents — from people who aren’t pleased with the anti-political message, but for the most part, people of all different backgrounds are rallying behind the message that criticizes the U.S. government for the current state of affairs across the country.

Objectively, this is a great song to play while doing anything outdoors, drinking, lounging, or really while you’re doing anything. Oliver Anthony Music may be a one hit wonder, but boy oh boy is the one hit he gave us a good one.
