We’re Late to the Party, But “we’re all eating each other” Is a Banger

Juliet Ivy is one of the early candidates for 2024 breakout artist of the year. Her song “we’re all eating each other” has become one of the most viral songs on TikTok. Although the lyrics have what can be viewed as a dark meaning, the song gives off an upbeat vibe that sound sunny and bright.

The hook of the song goes as follows, “but we’re all gonna die / decompose into daffodils and dandelions / the bee’s will youse our flowers for whatever they like / make the honey that our grandkids will put inside / their morning tea / it’s the thing of life,” which is extremely scary, beautiful, and intelligent at the same time. The overall idea that what humans did in the past, what we do today, and what our grandkids will do generations from now is perfectly portrayed in the song, which makes the overall listen intensely thought-provoking.

Juliet Ivy is 22 years old, and lives in NYC. In some of the videos that blew this song up on TikTok, she can be seen with a butterfly guitar, walking through the streets of NYC — poetic imagery in the context of “we’re all eating each other.”

Not to overhype Juliet Ivy, but if 2024 goes anything like how the end of 2023 went, she’ll be a top the industry in a couple of months. Check out “we’re all eating each other” if you haven’t heard it from the links below:
