Keri Sreb drops introspective melancholic single “Hole”

Keri Sreb is back with her newest single “Hole”. This serves as the New Jersey native’s second single of the year after the earlier released “Doghouse”.

The song’s meaning is open to interpretation, as it can be perceived as having sexual undertones. However, Keri’s intention behind writing the song is to explore the emotional numbness that often accompanies casual sex and feelings of being used. She highlights the vulnerability of slipping into a state of emotional detachment and low self-worth when treated as nothing more than a mere object, as suggested by the song's title. The song was inspired by her experiences with hook-up culture, as well as her encounter in the dating pool which made everyone seem the same to her.  Keri uses Hole to explore the emotional numbness and low self-worth that can result from casual sex and being treated as an object, rather than a person. Keri admitted that working on this single was extremely challenging due to its introspective nature, but that she ultimately found the process therapeutic, as it mirrors the growth she’s been making in her personal life.

Hole invites listeners to a more vulnerable side of Keri Sreb- one we aren’t introduced to often. Check out Keri’s latest masterpiece here
