Sarina’s New Single “Damage” is an Infectious Hit

Maryland-born Haitian-American artist Sarina is known for using infectious cross-genre blends of pop, R&B, and Afro-Caribbean beats in her music. Her latest single, “Damage,” is no different. As soon as the song starts, you hear the enticing dancehall drums, which transport you as a listener into a club atmosphere. The way Sarina’s alluring vocals soar throughout the song’s production is captivating to the listener. Something can also be said of the honest vulnerability in the lyrics about walking away from a relationship or a person that doesn’t serve you anymore. Specifically in the chorus with lyrics like “I shouldn't let you near my soul If we both want it / I don't know (Oh, ooh, boy) / I cannot stay where I can't grow / Oh, feelings, I can't show; leave damage when I go.”

This song has all the right vibes and has all the right qualities of a hit. I’m excited to see what else Sarina has in store with her music as she continues to make her mark as a reputed entertainer and an important artist on the rise in the music industry.
