Spotify’s New Feature? AI Generative Playlists

Do you ever think about what Spotify’s next innovative feature might be? Well, I have a prediction of what it could be. AI generative playlists.

Imagine this, you click “create playlist,” and instead of being prompted with what you’d like the title of the playlist to be, Spotify’s AI bot asks what type of vibe you’re going for, what artists you think could loosely fit, how long you’d like the playlist to be, etc. Immediately, creating playlists on Spotify becomes 10x easier. Additionally, imagine all the new music you’d be able to find when you can explain a niche situation you are looking to play soundtrack, and Spotify can identify 100 new songs tailored to what you describe.

Yes, this is just me thinking out loud, but I really think this is a great idea. We need to get some people over at OpenAI to work alongside the Spotify Engineering team to work on this. Hopefully, chatGPT x Spotify has a crossover in the near future because this would undoubtedly be life changing for every Spotify/ music lover worldwide.
