Tweak on the Beat shares fresh new EP ‘One & Only’
Cleveland producer Tweak on the Beat has shared a fresh new EP called One & Only. Containing infectious, character-rich sonics and sharply cohesive collaborations with the likes of Yayo da Cartune, E the Profit, and more, One & Only further showcases that Tweak is a rising beatmaker to watch out of Ohio.
There are a number of tracks here that are simply attention grabbing, with their heavy, rich grooves and elegant sample choices. Opener “Like A Dawg”, for example, contains graceful violins, immersive keys, and pounding, addictive percussion that captures the Cleveland beatmaker’s signature style. Moreover, he showcases superb chemistry with fellow Ohio collaborators Kipp Stone and DJ Kristyles, who bring their own flavor to the track. “Want It Bad”, featuring buzzing artist Paris Bryant, is a colorful, catchy joint that finds both artists bringing their a-game, as Bryant weaves together potent melodies atop Tweak’s electrifying production. Elsewhere, “MUD”, featuring Yayo da Cartune, provides a highlight with its expansive, emotionally powerful sound and sharply-crafted vocals.
Overall, One & Only is a strong new project from Cleveland beatmaker Tweak on the Beat that further proves he is a musician worth paying attention to from the Ohio area. It highlights sounds from the Cleveland area in an engaging fashion, and features an array of talented collaborators.
