Valid continues prolific streak with fresh release “Nine To Five” (feat. Stretch Money)

Detroit’s Valid is about as consistent as they come- and he further proves this with his new song and video “Nine To Five”, featuring Motor City legend and frequent collaborator Stretch Money- following right on the heels of Valid’s “May 6th” single. After the success of their collaborative album Bill & Isiah, the pair bring forth that same charismatic sound and effortless chemistry they presented on their LP on “Nine To Five”- an infectious offering that blends raw hip-hop sonics with humour for a memorable joint.

“Nine To Five”’s playful swagger is infectious from the jump- as the dynamic duo of Valid and Stretch Money deliver sleek verses packed with humor that keep the listener re-winding. With the refrain that sticks in the listener’s mind, “got a nine to five but they think that I sell dope/ because I look like I sell dope”, Valid captures the song’s energy with poignant bars paired with a smooth, bouncy instrumental that gives the song added replay value. The new video makes for an energetic, engaging accompaniment with slick editing and shots performed in both the office setting and the streets.
