Valid shares potent new album ‘peach brandy’

Detroit rapper Valid has released his fourth studio album, ‘Peach Brandy’, a sequel to his well-received ‘Plum Brandy’ EP. The 15-track album showcases Valid's unique style, blending influences from his Serbian roots with infectious, versatile hip-hop beats and sharp lyrical prowess. Featuring collaborations with artists such as Stretch Money, Boog Brown, and more, ‘Peach Brandy’ is an impressive addition to Valid's discography. The album delves into personal narratives that captivate with their emotive nature, such as on the first track “Peach Slayer”, while also providing a number of catchy, sleek cuts like “Never Question” that provide much replay value. Balancing emotion and catharsis with engaging instrumentation, the album gives the listener a window in to Valid’s mind with a set of potent songs.

‘Peach Brandy’ makes for a varied listen that all the while injects Valid’s unique style into its soundscapes and verses. He demonstrates a wide range that is a testament to his sharp songwriting abilities- with songs like “There He Is” and “May 6th” containing driving, powerful sonics, whereas at the flip of a coin he can lay down emotive, personal tracks such as “Peach Slayer” and “Never Question”, featuring Neisha Neshae. Frequent collaborator Stretch Money appears on album highlight “Nine to Five” which finds Bill & Isiah delivering an electric performance atop sleek production. “Stara Škola” finds Valid connecting with a star-studded cast of emcees from Eastern Europe to deliver a tour-de-force that demonstrates gymnastic flows atop an enticing instrumental.
