If you haven’t heard her incredible unreleased song “Video Games” on TikTok, you probably have a terrible For You Page. In all seriousness though, Jensen McRae has a genuine smash-hit on her hands, even being featured in an Instagram post by Justin Bieber — one of the most famous people in the world — yesterday. Additionally, on the original TikTok post, artists like Russ, Dean Lewis, and Cory Asbury commented with their awe of the song.

The entire song is one of the best-written pieces of art I’ve ever heard, with lyrics like “When someone tells me they’re from Massachusetts, now I always ask what part / I wonder if you kept the pilgrim ashtray, if it’s still propped up on your bar cart.” This is only the first two lines of the song, and you can already get the sense that it is an illustrative, somber song that details the unfortunate complexities of an old relationship.

Jensen hasn’t released music since her 2022 album "Are You Happy Now?, but when she releases her next song — hopefully “Video Games”, there is no doubt that the song is going to blow up through the roof. Keep the Los-Angeles based singer-songwriter on your radar, now that she has a Justin Bieber cosign, it is a lock that she becomes a huge name in music.
