Avant-garde by Jupiter

The 10-track tape starts with “u!”. The lyrics to the intro aren’t really audible and sounds more like Jupiter trying to visualize melodies. The following single “I ain’t lyin” is a better successor to the intro and has a very chill vibe with amazing beat selection. “Tryna”, the third single on the project, sees Jupiter lament about his attempts to fall in love. The track has some synth and electric elements to its beat. “5 mins” sounds like a fun freestyle from Jupiter. “Growin up” follows the vibe of “5 mins” but with a reverb effect to end it which gives the track a trippy vibe.

“Simple/ineedu” has a very melancholic feel to it. The second half of the song sees Jupiter confess his feelings to someone. His delivery evokes a very somber feeling to listeners. “Hollup! freestyle”, as the name implies, sees Jupiter freestyle over a fire trap beat, although his lyrics aren’t as audible as the previous tracks. “I get lost” employs the use of drums for the production, which paired with Jupiter’s lyrics and production gives it a very fun feel. “going off feelings” and “let em” which end the tape sound a lot like freestyles from Jupiter, with “let em” being the most turnt, hard-hitting track off the project. In all, avant-garde’s main flaw is the inaudibility on most songs which makes it hard for listeners to really hear Jupiter’s creative direction
