Elias Hix Takes Listeners on an Intense Journey with “Stones & Waves”

Elias Hix has been on a run like no other. Since releasing his first song, “Mud-Stained Dress,” in February 2023, the 18-year-old artist has reached heights that most teenagers can only dream of. His new song “Stones & Waves” has continued his trend of dropping stellar music. With sonically advanced production, brilliant songwriting and a massive chorus, Hix’s new track has all you could ask for in a boundary-pushing indie-folk song.

“Stones & Waves” sounds like it was created to be the soundtrack of Interstellar II, otherworldly elements of waning guitars and droning pads make the listen thoroughly impactful. Although the song is only 3:10 long, it feels like it could last a lifetime. Listening to this track feels like climbing over mountains, into valleys, and running through waves — listen to the song on full volume if you don’t understand what that means.

Coming off the release of his highly-anticipated track “Paper Teeth,” Hix has continued to show why he’s touted as one of the most promising young voices in the indie-folk scene. Check out “Stones & Waves” from the links below:
