JANIE Drops Fully-Immersive New Song, “Gods”

JANIE, a massively underrated pop artist based in Los Angeles, is back with a new single called “Gods.” The new track, like the rest of JANIE’s catalogue, is intricate, unexpected, lush, and ethereal. “Gods” is the last of JANIE’s 2023 releases, which have consistently showcased the artist’s ability to deliver relatable concepts in an otherworldly way using poetic and visual lyricism, soft vocal delivery, lush and ethereal world-building, and experimental electronic-inspired pop production.

“Gods” embodies organized chaos. The 3 minute and 12 second track feels much shorter because it never gets stagnant. The song’s hook “What’s a girl against gods?” perfectly represents the push-and-pull quality of the song’s production and delivery. It starts soft and dreamy and builds into a complex, fast-paced, percussion-heavy soundscape, then alternates between the two worlds seamlessly. The track is delightfully replayable, and you’ll discover something new every time you hear it.

“Gods” demonstrates JANIE’s ability to create an exciting and heartfelt sonic experience that’s distinct from anything you’ve heard before yet accessible and easy to enjoy. JANIE is bringing a fresh perspective to pop music and quickly establishing herself as an artist to watch.
