Prolific artist YB returns with new EP, ‘JUDAS’

Arkansas-born rapper YB has shared a new EP called JUDAS. Expressing his love for God, as well as discussing his personal trials and tribulations, JUDAS makes for another relatable, potent offering from the artist. It follows up his well-received recent album WINGS OF AN ANGEL [Deluxe Version], which received acclaim and contained a number of fan favourite singles. His latest, JUDAS, is a 3-song set that scores with its infectious soundscapes and engaging vocal performances that blend raw hip-hop stylings with some R&B stylings. 

Opener “HEART ON MY SLEEVE” creates an expansive soundscape, as YB delivers some more melodious vocals, as opposed to “ICE COLD”, which contains heavy, powerful production moored by wintery keys and driving 808s. Closer “YOU DON’T KNOW” makes for a compelling finisher, bringing in a more triumphant, stadium-ready sound that could rattle the trunk of any car.
