Punchlove returns with another single, “Guilt.” As they are one step closer to their debut album set to release in March, fans are eagerly awaiting the rest of Punchlove’s discography.

Each of the three lead singles (“Dead Lands,” “Screwdriver,” “Guilt”) unveil distinctive facets of Punchlove - yet they are all bound with the same overarching themes of self-reflection, distorted perception, and share matching artwork aesthetics, giving us a glimpse of the cohesive variety within the upcoming album.

“Guilt,” released February 7th under Brooklyn’s Kanine Records (Blushing, Agent Blå), lures listeners in with a soft introduction before plunging them into the whirlwind of chaos that Punchlove expertly crafts. Speaking to the online magazine BrooklynVegan, founder Jill Oleson says, “‘Guilt’ examines the vicious cycle of guilt–from the lens of anxiety; guilt emanating from a perception of wrongdoing, then further guilt arising from the people who take advantage of that feeling.”

“Guilt” builds upon the thematic groundwork laid by its predecessor, “Screwdriver," which explores the pangs of painful nostalgia, feeling invisible, and the relentless anxiety of falling short. With each release, Punchlove promises an album that is not only engaging but also accessible, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in their music.

With a subtle nod to the sense of community within the Brooklyn alt-rock scene, the music video for “Guilt” features fellow Brooklyn shoegazer Ry Minter of Buff Ginger — underling Punchlove’s commitment to fostering connections, musically and personally. As the countdown to their debut album continues, Punchlove's trilogy of lead singles serves as a captivating prelude, leaving fans hungry for more. Look out for Punchlove’s debut album, Channels, slated for release on March 1st.
