Valid and Stretch Money showcase kinetic chemistry on ‘Bill & Isiah’

Valid and Stretch Money have shared a new collaborative album, titled Bill & Isiah. Filled with potent, sharply-crafted flows that are balanced out with infectious melodies, and laced with vibrant production, Bill & Isiah is an all-out effort from the two Detroit mainstays that showcases they are a top-level force to be reckoned with in underground hip-hop.

With engagingly retro sonics that piece together the album’s thematics, as well as charismatic performances from the two rappers, Bill & Isiah is a memorable new project that has many bright moments. Moreover, the chemistry the two rappers share is rare and undeniable, as it seems natural and effortless. This is made most evident on tracks like “Commentate”, where they trade fiery verses seamlessly at a blistering pace. But it is also evident on the more melodious, pop-leaning songs like “Sentimental”, which shows that Bill & Isiah is far more than just a case of two talented emcees sparring. Across the track list, they truly show that they can do it all, blending East Coast, Motown, and West Coast influences at many points, while lacing many tracks with melodious pop and R&B undertones, and then balancing those with lyrical hip-hop and trap songs.

Bill & Isiah is an engaging new project overall that finds the two emcees bringing out the best in each other atop flavorful production. Give it a listen below.
